There are many pieces of music that have been written throughout the span of humanity that inspire us to write, live, or in this case - Roleplay. To which I must ask: What sort of music inspires you? Do you take warmth from hearing your favorite band playing their new album or are you like me and do you seek something a little bit more? Russel Brower once said: "The music in Warcraft is not meant to be heard. It is to be felt." Since I heard those words I've always got a sense of depth from music from places like Azurmyst Isle and Tirisfal Glades. This is the kind of music I want to see in this thread. Music that doesn't always need lyrics to convey to you a feeling. Here I am going to be posting two of my favorite pieces.
The first song I'm posting is from the movie The Prince of Egypt. Back when I saw this film as a child I always thought it was one of the coolest animated movies I had ever seen. The way the artists captures scenes, emotion, and scale was breathtaking to me as a child and even to me now as an adult. This movie recieves a lot of praise and one such area of praise comes from the song "The Burning Bush." If you were to ask me what is Ashevn's theme in Roleplay I would say this song. It has no defined meaning nor purpose. Yet in the climax of the song you're taken to a place that each person across the globe seeks to reach: Enlightenment. The music lulls you into a sense of peace and then explodes with its power to depict faith and hope. Ashevn being the religious and slow-moving elder that he is fits perfectly to this song. Enjoy:
The second song I'd like to show you all might be one you've heard of. It's called Baba Yetu and it recently achieved a lot of praise for being the first ever song from a video game to win an Emmy. The song originates from the game Civilization 4 and it is the Lord's Prayer sang in Swahili. The song is meant to be a lamnet to humanity and all the progress we've made as a species upon this planet. From the Pyramids of Giza to the Moon itself humanity has stretched forth its hand and even now we seek to stretch further. Even if you're a down in the dolldrums type of person you have to agree that there is a beauty within the world and within our universe that is breathtaking. Baba Yetu calls out to humanity and to what we've done, where we're going, and who we are as a people. It may be the Lord's Prayer but it speaks for each upon the earth. This is why the song won an Emmy. This video is the song being played at the Dubai Fountain but if you do enjoy the song I highly recommend looking up its music video. Enjoy:

I don't think it's a particularly 'inspirational' piece, but I think it's a great bit of music and it certainly goes through a lot of ups and downs, and I think the seventh chords on the left hand sound amazing!

I simply love Final Fantasy music, but especially the remade music of Final Fatnasy 6. It brings me such a boost of inspiration i feel like exploding!

Actually...there is many fine pieces i get my inspiration from...For Amoniel in particual! I rarely sit down and listen to calming music when dealing with Amoniel, as her fiery spirit is too hawt to handle D:
