Ashenvale is currently one of the largest Kaldorei-dominated locations on Azeroth. Its forests are vast and very little has been done to corrupt this beautiful and serene landscape. The local wildlife are friendly and don't seem to mind humanoid interference. The deers, stag and bears that roam the forest generally avoid coming into violent contact with the locals.
The local furbolg tribes used to be friendly but have become changed as of late, showing a more agressive streak and taking to attacking travelers and merchants while going through the location. The numerous ruins around Ashenvale are old and mossy, their only pearly-white pillars now faded, but the power that they once emanated still remains.
As for the weather, Ashenvale rarely experiences heavy rainfall, with a usual moist climate, the forest welcomes people staying within. At night, the noises of animals moving around in the forest can be heard, the chirping of birds and rustling of leaves as land mammals scutter around is audible. But to the South, the forest has taken a severe hit from the Orcish deforestation.
Large areas of woodland have been cleared to fuel the Orcish Horde, and several lumber camp and Horde outposts linger around the outskirts of the forest, posing a constant threat to the Kaldorei inhabitance. But in general, the forest of Ashenvale is cleanand welcoming; a nice place for a group of lowly Druids to spend their time.
