The Jade Gathering's next majory storyline event series is here!
The Glaive is long; around 1.25 meters in length, and its blades are razor sharp, glinting in the sunlight as they are turned. The handle is covered with a solid but soft band of worn leather, and small indents can be felt where fingers once grasped it. Along one side of the most prominent blade, a series of scratched engravings can be seen, but they do not spell anything in the common tongues.
The blade is perfectly balanced for a mid-height male Kaldorei, and it appears to slice through the air with minimal effort. The most worrying and prominent thing about the Glaive is, though, the magical aura it carries. The whole weapon bears a sense of dread, but underneath that, a profound, powerful, magical taint. The acutal source of this magic is evidently Demonic, for the taint is that of corruption.
This is a Demon Hunter's blade.
Demons are attracted to the weapon; as was seen when the Grove of the Ancients itself became under threat.
The lupine terror also appeared to arrive when the blade was exposed.
Those who stand within meters of the Glaive feel their very souls being scoured.
And for those who touch it; the bodies are slowly drained of strength.
This can only spell trouble.
The tool of destruction seems to bring about pain and suffering to all in its presence, and even the Twilight Cultists seem to have left it out for others to find. When found in a muddied pile, the weapon instantly drew attention, but it brought a flurry of attackers to it within seconds. The blade was sharp and without rust, but there were no signs that it was recently embedded within the soil.
As usual, the Jades are the ones who must try and unravel the mystery. With weeks of trouble and tribulation ahead of them, there may well be another few plot twists to come along, and who knows; maybe the lupine terror may reappear? We will be taken far and wide across Azeroth, and possibly even beyond. Prepare for one of the most thought-through event series in a long while.
Beginning 21/7/12.
